Melatonin

Melatonin, the anti aging supplement for 60 plus.
(100 tablets 3 mg tablets easy to break)

Abstract: Melatonin is an antagonist of the stress hormone adrenaline. The nocturnal hormone, melatonin, reduces the body temperature during sleep by 4/10 of a degree Celsius. This temperature reduction reduces and preserves cell energy that helps in the repair of the mitochondria and cells thereby lowering the risk to cancer.

Melatonin works hand in hand with DHEA and human growth hormone (hGH) with cellular repair. Further, melatonin stimulates white blood cells in their production of certain hormones necessary to form blood. Melatonin reduces an overwhelming prostaglandin synthesis associated with migraine headache.

As one of the smallest molecule, melatonin squeezes between tight extra cellular space, even vitamin E can't reach, in search for and neutralization of free radicals.

Last but not least, melatonin stimulates the hydroperoxydase, the only remaining indigenous free radical enzyme system. As a nocturnal hormone, melatonin is taken best at night time to improve sleep quality and the body's own anti aging defense mechanism. To help with jet leg, take melatonin on the flight to help with the sleep, and for 2 - 3 nights in the new time zone.

Small amounts 0.75 mg suffice at the start of any supplementation with increase of 0.75 mg twice weekly until satisfied with the result. Melatonin is not for children or for women that like to conceive.
